Description

On this guided sight-seeing tour, you will visit the south and south-west parts of Mauritius in the comfort of an air-conditioned vehicle dedicated to your group. You will be picked up from your accommodation and we will head first to the iconic Trou aux Cerfs dormant volcano where you will be able to take a stroll around the crater and enjoy the views this place has to offer. En route to Alexandra Falls, we will do a brief stop by Mare aux Vacoas which is the largest reservoir in the island. At Alexandra Falls, you will be able to capture some fantastic views of the waterfall and get close to streams of water neighbouring the viewing area. Next on the itinerary is the Black River Gorges Viewpoint which offers some of the most scenic views the island has on offer. The untouched valleys, gorges, hills and mountains of this park with the sea in the background make for breath-taking and instagrammable photos. We will then break for lunch at Varangue sur Morne where you will be able take in the views some more while enjoying an exquisite lunch carefully selected by our team for an authentic culinary experience. The last stop will be the well-known Chamarel Seven Coloured Eath Geopark where you will witness a geological marvel - the naturally formed sand dunes made of seven colours which harmoniously merge into each other is a surreal sight. The geopark also boasts the presence of rare giant tortoises and a waterfall. Many of those places will offer you the opportunity to buy hand-crafted souvenirs to remind you of this wonderful trip. You will then enjoy a safe journey back to your accommodation.

Description

On this guided sight-seeing tour, you will visit the south and south-east parts of Mauritius in the comfort of an air-conditioned vehicle dedicated to your group. You will be picked up from your accommodation and we will head first to Blue Bay Marine Park which is one of the two marine reserves of the island. There, you will go on a glass-bottom boat adventure to witness the pristine, colourful and diverse undersea world of this marine reserve. At this point, if you dream of swimming with the fish or getting a closer look at the coral life, you will be provided with snorkelling gears so you can jump right in. If you are lucky, you might even spot the hawksbill or green sea turtle which often visit this area. And after the snorkelling has built up your appetite, we will head to the small town of Mahébourg to try out some of the street food. You will be able to take a stroll at the waterfront and enjoy the beautiful sea views. We will then break for lunch in one of the favourite local restaurants, namely Le Phare, which is at the waterfront itself. While enjoying  the exquisite lunch carefully selected by our team for an authentic culinary experience, you will witness everyday Mauritian lifestyle happening in the neighbouring buzzing streets. You will get to see the locals buying goods at the free market. commuting through public transport, enjoying street food or just chilling. Next on the agenda is Pont Naturel or "Natural Bridge" which is a marvel of nature . It was carved into the sea cliffs by ocean waves over time. Our guide will be more than happy to capture some photos of your group posing on this stunning bridge. The next two stops are Gris Gris and Roche Qui Pleure where breathtaking views of stunning rock formations and majestic cliffs will be on offer. The rough nature of the sea in this part of the island will provide you with a different perspective of our coastline. And to close up this beautiful day, we will stop at the Macondé View Point, where some of the most iconic views that often end up on travel magazines, can be enjoyed. You will then enjoy a safe journey back to your accommodation.
